Mt. Ashland offers new bus service
Mt. Ashland is pleased to announce the ski bus offered to our skiers and snowboarders this year is a luxury coach provided by Rogue Valley Charter Service. Two 47 passenger buses will serve the Medford and Ashland areas during weekends and holiday periods.
Environmentally Friendly: The ski bus is an environmentally friendly way of getting to the mountain and it saves parking spaces. Each full bus would eliminate 18 vehicles from driving to the mountain (using 2.5 people per vehicle average), reducing traffic, saving fuel, and eliminating CO2 emissions.
Cost Effective: It is also a cost effective way to get to and from the ski area. The IRS mileage allowance for 2006 is .445 per mile if you use your personal vehicle for business purposes. This allowance takes into consideration fuel expense plus wear and tear on your vehicle. The average round trip from Medford to Mt. Ashland is 68 miles, meaning it costs you $30.26 to make the trip. A round trip ticket on the Mt. Ashland Ski Bus is only $10.
