Meet the 2025 Mt. Ashland Endurance Team

This is year number 2 for the Mt. Ashland Endurance Team and we are thrilled to announce the line-up! This group of mountain athletes will represent Mt. Ashland in a variety of non-snow mountain sports, at events both on and off the mountain.  They will help build community and encourage those who are new to the sports.  These athletes will host group runs and rides, volunteer at local events, and help with trail maintenance in our area.  Meet this awesome group of locals:

How do you feel the Mt. Ashland Endurance Team can serve our community? Mt. Ashland is unique in its beauty and convenience, so close to downtown but it doesn’t feel like it when you’re up there. Having such a backyard to engage in and promote outdoor activities is a foundational pillar to a thriving community. Bringing people together through common interests, passions and outdoor activities will help the community grow stronger, healthier and happier.

Your 2025 Race/Event Calendar: I’m working on healing my health this summer. After three years of consistent training and training hard, I finally got to a point where I need to take a step back and recover. Typically I’ve got some sort of big race or adventure lined up in the fall that I spend summer training for. But this year I’ve got no major missions planned. This new chapter in my running journey is far more mental and maybe one of the hardest training cycles I’ve yet to embark on. I am pushing myself to use running as an outlet to build community, appreciate nature, meditate and heal.
Favorite place to run?  The PCT!
What is your dream post race meal?  Give me allll the fresh fruit! And ice cream!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not running? Dancing to live music with friends, climbing, adventuring with my cat, putting on events at Mt. Ashland and running my arts non-profit, Ashland Fringe.
What is your current favorite song or artist to listen to?  Where’s Your reality by Frankie and the Witch Fingers
What’s your dream race or adventure? The Great Wall Marathon or anything in the Alps!
Current running kicks or bike or both?  Topo Ultraventure 4
How do you feel the Mt. Ashland Endurance Team can serve our community? Getting outside (whether for a walk, a run or even a sit) is such powerful and healing opportunity. Especially when you can share that experience with new friends or the people close to you. I think the Endurance team can increase accessibility to outdoor recreation and encourage respectful participation and immersion in our local environment.
