Mt. Ashland Ski Area has some exciting things coming up this summer and what better way to enjoy an event for FREE than by helping to put it on! Join the Events team as a Volunteer at Mt. Ashland to bring a brand new Concert Series, Drive-in Movie Nights, Oktoberfest and Haunting on Mt. Ashland to life! Better yet, as a thank you for your time and effort, we are offering Volunteers free tickets to other summer events or lift ticket vouchers for the 2025/26 Winter Season based on the amount of hours volunteered.

Volunteering for (1) 3 hour block  Guarantees free entry into the event you are working (if your block does not coincide with event times) or another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event of your choosing.
Volunteering for (2) 3 hour blocks 6 hours total, guarantees free entry into the event you are working (if your block does not coincide with event times) or another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event of your choosing plus (1) free ticket to another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event.
Volunteering for (3) 3 hour blocks 9 hours total, guarantees free entry into the event you are working (if your block does not coincide with event times) or another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event of your choosing plus (2) free tickets to another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event OR (1) lift ticket voucher for the 2025/26 season.
Volunteering for (4) 3 hour blocks 12 hours total, guarantees free entry into the event you are working (if your block does not coincide with event times) or another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event of your choosing plus (3) free tickets to another 2025 Mt. Ashland summer event OR (2) lift ticket vouchers for the 2025/26 season.
Volunteer Role Descriptions

Each volunteer block will be three hours long.

We ask that volunteers be capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and being on their feet for multiple hours. Special circumstances will be handled on a case by case basis if you are not able to lift heavy objects dependent on the role assigned. 

All volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer.

All volunteers must be comfortable and able to work for multiple hours in potential heat, cold or wind.

One form per volunteer may be submitted (you can not submit the same form for you and your spouse) and if you would like to volunteer with a larger group (such as through your place of business) – please email your name, contact information and number of volunteers and the events your interested in to info@mtashland.com with the subject line “Summer 2025 Group Volunteering” and they will pass you along to our Events Coordinator. The more information you can provide the better!

Role Description
Set Up** Assist in tasks such as setting up tents, tables, chairs, concessions, signage, stage and sound equipment, additional trash and recycling receptacles, and at some events, assist with vendor facilitation. Put in the hours before the event and then be able to enjoy it once your work is done!
Vendor Facilitation** For larger events, take direction from the Events Coordinator or Mt. Ashland Staff member designated by Events Coordinator to assist with loading in, placing and supplying power to vendors such as food trucks, beer vendors, tabling partners, etc.
Ticketing Assist in checking pre-purchased event tickets, checking IDs, issuing wristbands, and line and security control at the “front gate” of events.
Parking Attendant Organize incoming cars with a team to create a safe and orderly flow of event traffic that will ensure smooth exiting of the event. *Especially important during the Drive-In Movie Nights.
Mt Ashland Trail Run Race Volunteers ** Assist the race organizers with set up, check-in, course aid stations, and finish line facilitation.
Alcohol and Audience Monitor Must have a current OLCC license and carry it with them at the event. Watch that alcohol does not leave the permitted area, outside alcohol does not enter the permitted area, help to mitigate the risk of alcohol consumption by minors, supervise general crowd safety and control, be able to assist/ communicate to Mt. Ashland staff in the case of a medical emergency.
Retail Booth Assist in the sale of Mt. Ashland Merchandise at an outdoor, pop-up retail booth.
Concessions Facilitate the sale and distribution of snacks at movie nights. This includes bagging popcorn, spinning cotton candy and stocking pre packaged goodies.
Floater** Assist the Events Coordinator where needed. A floater may assume the role of any of the above described volunteer positions at any time.
Clean Up** After enjoying the event, help to load out vendors or musicians, fold up chairs, tents and tables, gather and put away signage, tidy the premises of trash and store material safely in the lodge.
