MT. ASHLAND SKI AREA

From atop the Siskiyou Crest, Mt. Ashland provides terrain for skiers and riders of every ability. Founded in 1964 and operated by a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Mt. Ashland is Southern Oregon’s hub for outdoor recreation. With a peak elevation of 7,533′ and over 200 acres of skiable terrain, find your happy place amongst our steeper terrain in The Bowl, one of dozens of groomed runs, in one of our tree glades or at the Learning Center.

Located just eight miles from I-5 near the Oregon-California border, Mt. Ashland features a full rental shop (with ski and snowboard rentals and tuning), several dining options, the T-Bar Lounge, a retail shop, and ski school.

This winter, come see for yourself why Mt. Ashland is your local mountain playground!

‼️Uphill Access Policy Update‼️

Mt. Ashland Ski Area has made changes to our Uphill Access Policy. The new updates will take effect on Tuesday morning, February 11, 2025 at 12:00am. The Mountain Report already reflects the schedule for tomorrow (2/11) and Wednesday (2/12) and will continue to report Uphill Access dates and times for the remainder of the season.

Our updated policy, a refined version of the policy implemented earlier this year, provides a consistent 5:30am - 8:30am schedule, clearly outlines access on days the Ski Area is open and closed and provides additional clarity on designated routes and access during storm cycles.

If you are an Uphill Season Passholder, know an Uphill Traveler (or are just simply curious), our updated policy is up on our website and is linked in our Mountain Report and in our bio. Please review the updated policy as soon as possible and continue to check the Mountain Report and the forecast immediately before entering Ski Area boundaries.

This refinement of our Policy is necessary to prevent tragedy and ensure the continued operation of Mt. Ashland Ski Area as a safe and welcoming Ski Area for all of our Guests and staff! We understand that changes can be difficult, but we do please ask for the community’s support in respecting and abiding by these policies.

Thank you all so much!

❄️ Andrew in the Alpine reporting a chilly Monday on the Mountain!

There’s still powder stashes to be found and the grooming is more limited than normal with mostly packed powder! ⛷️🏂

Snow immersion suffocation and tree well risks are HIGH today so please make sure to ski with a buddy, make a plan, keep your buddy insight at all times and check in frequently!🌲

Bavarian Night is this Saturday from 3pm - 9pm and the fireworks and torchlight parade are calling your name! 🎆

It’s another beautiful day - We’ll see you on the mountain! 🏔️

❄️Andrew in the Alpine reporting a chilly, but beautiful day on Mt. Ashland!

All of this storm powder between Monday & today is ready for all of you to enjoy! 🏂⛷️

‼️With lots of snow comes a little bit of danger so we ask that you use all of your deep snow immersion protocols today:

Please ski or ride with a buddy at all times! Stay in sight of each other, have a plan and check-in regularly, especially if you go off of the main trails! 🌲🏔️

The parking lot is now full, but the shuttle bus is a great option! You can learn more at the link in our bio. It’s $15 for a round trip ticket! 🎟️

Bavarian Night, the biggest event of the year, is just 6 days away! 🎆 You don’t have to be a skier or snowboarder to enjoy fireworks, our torchlight parade, live music and more! Amidst the excitement, Twilight hours will be open and if you want to do some Twilight Apré, our Mountain Shuttles have you covered!
Saturday, February 15th, from 3pm - 9pm come support Mt. Ashland Ski Patrol for their annual fundraiser! ⛑️

We’ll see you on the mountain! 🏔️
